Mr Rod Buchecker is an independent business consultant specialising in Brand Management, Marketing Communications and Advertising. He brings strong strategic thinking and practical discipline to solving business problems.
Rod’s 30+ years experience includes 15 years as a Director of Clemenger BDO Adelaide, part of Clemenger Group Limited, the largest and most successful Marketing Communications company in Australasia. He also served almost seven years with Young and Rubicam, Adelaide and Melbourne plus a year with DDB Needham in Melbourne following 13 years on the client side with Berrivale Orchards.
Rod is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Strategic Marketing Management programme and the prestigious Young and Rubicam Ad Skills Workshop in New York. He is also an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a lecturer for the Communications Council of Australia’s Ad School.
In addition to his role at Cancer Council SA, Rod is also a Board Director of Regional Development Australia – Metropolitan Adelaide, and a member of several community based organisations including the Legacy Marketing Committee, Legacy Kokoda Trekkers committee and the Kokoda Track Foundation.
